Installing a one-piece swimming pool in Jersey involves a little more planning than a typical mainland project. For this installation in St. Ouen, the pool needed to travel by ferry before being delivered to the property, making transport and coordination an important part of the job.
As one of our first Aqua Technics installations on the island, the project also marked an important step in establishing the brand in Jersey.
The clients selected an Aqua Technics Royale in Platinum Pool Colour Guard, a finish that produces a blend of grey and blue tones beneath the water. Trevose Granite was chosen for the surrounding paving, while a Bali waterfall curtain introduces a feature of cascading water along the pool edge.
The installation incorporates a solar polycarbonate slatted Aqua Top cover to help retain heat and reduce evaporation, together with a small air source heat pump for water heating.
An automatic chemical dosing system and UV disinfection provide water treatment, while white LED underwater lights illuminate the pool during evening use.
Despite the additional logistics of working on an island, the installation was completed in just three weeks. Our team worked closely with our Jersey sales representative, whose local knowledge helped with coordinating deliveries, access arrangements and the practical requirements of the project.
The completed pool provides the homeowners with a dedicated outdoor swimming area, with the waterfall curtain adding a distinctive feature to the overall design.
It also serves as a showcase for Aqua Technics in Jersey, giving prospective customers the opportunity to see the Royale model, its finish and the quality of the one-piece construction in person.
