Set within a secluded property in East Sussex, this project was designed to bring together a contemporary swimming pool and carefully planned landscaping, with both elements complementing the existing home.
Working alongside our recommended landscapers, we helped bring the clients’ ideas to life, combining the pool’s clean, symmetrical lines with the softer curves of the surrounding garden.
The homeowners selected an Aqua Technics Aspen measuring 10.4m x 3.6m, with a depth of 1.5m, finished in Delta Blue Pool Colour Guard.
The deep blue finish is what makes this swimming pool particularly distinctive. Unlike more traditional light blue pool colours, Delta Blue creates a darker, reflective appearance that changes with the light. It provides a striking contrast against the Trevose Granite copings and surrounds, while complementing the contemporary landscaping.
The pool incorporates a solar polycarbonate slatted Aqua Top cover to help retain heat and reduce evaporation, alongside a small air source heat pump for water heating.
White LED underwater lighting was installed for evening use, with a chlorine feeder and UV disinfection system providing water treatment.
A particularly important aspect of this project was the relationship between the swimming pool and the wider garden design. The straight lines of the Aspen contrast with the curved landscaping, creating an interesting balance between the two.
The completed installation brings together the clients’ original ideas, our swimming pool installation and the work of the landscaping team.
With its distinctive deep blue water and carefully coordinated surroundings, this is a pool that makes an impression without feeling out of place in its countryside setting.
