We thought long and hard before deciding to install a pool in our garden,: Firstly because of the costs involved and secondly the disruption caused to the garden during the excavation and subsequent landscaping. There are two obvious names which crop up when researching the industry.: Xl Pools and Compass Pools For many reasons we decided to choose XL Pools. Xl Pools are a family run business based in Ashford. They have a wealth of experience designing and installing swimming pools.They have a small experienced team who are fabulous to work with. Anthony Exell who owns the Company is very personable and often "hands on." His daughter Maddison runs and co-ordinates the office in Ashford. His Production Director, Marc Cernis, amongst other things, discusses design, layout and the work schedule. The excavation for our pool started in May last year and was completed in July. The worst part was the excavation, which if the weather is poor, is to say at the least "messy". Every issue we had during the build was dealt with and followed through. We have now had two wonderful Summer's swimming in our pool and are so pleased that we decided to have one installed. All credit to XL Pools for making the experience such fun and fulfilling our expectations.

As with most build projects, there were minor issues along the way — in our case, a small electrical hiccup — but to their credit, the team handled it with sensitivity and professionalism, ensuring everything was resolved smoothly. The finished pool has created a wonderful space for both relaxation and exercise — a genuine “life is good” addition to our home and a real balm to the soul. Our installation was completed towards the end of summer, and XL Pools has since carried out the winterisation with the same care and efficiency. We now look forward to spring, when our family can once again enjoy this remarkable space. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend XL Pools to anyone seeking a high-quality, professional swimming pool installation.

I have used XL Pools for at least 12 years. During this time they have provided an excellent service for routine checks and seasonal opening, closing etc as well as dealing with one off issues when necessary.
