Updown Farmhouse is a boutique hotel set in the heart of the Kent countryside, celebrated for its refined yet rustic character and relaxed luxury. The owners wanted a swimming pool that would enhance the guest experience while sitting naturally within the charm of the property — elegant, welcoming, and perfectly in keeping with the farmhouse aesthetic.

To achieve this, we recommended the Aqua Technics Torino, the largest model in our one-piece pool range. Its generous proportions make it ideal for hotel use, while the distinctive integrated social bench encourages relaxation and conversation — a perfect feature for a boutique hospitality setting. The pool’s neutral colour palette was carefully chosen to complement the surrounding gardens, outdoor furniture, and lush green landscaping.

To complete the look, we supplied Fossil Pearl tumbled stone copings, selected for their subtly aged finish and natural texture. These materials echo the traditional character of the farmhouse while maintaining a timeless, high-end appearance. The client placed great trust in our expertise and was guided throughout the selection process, ultimately choosing all finishes and colours with confidence.

As the pool is intended for guest use, we also provided guidance on best-practice design and operation for commercial environments, ensuring the pool would be both beautiful and practical. An automatic Coverseal safety cover was proposed for its discreet profile and safety benefits. While the client has chosen to defer installation until a future season, the pool has been designed to accommodate it seamlessly when required.
