Ashenfield Project

Our client initially had a pool built back in the 1960s which was now in need of an incredibly expensive complete refurbishment. So much so that the client decided it was either fill it in, or build an entirely new pool. After consulting with us and learning about the many benefits of having an one-piece pool installed, she decided on the latter course of action. She wanted a pool with modern, clean lines and smooth finishes, which has been achieved by the installation of One-piece pool. She also particularly liked the long warranties that come with this product. The modern, uncluttered aesthetics are further enhanced by the inclusion of a white coloured T&A automatic slatted cover which emerges silently from a concealed pit, and the granite copings and surround paving, and perfectly complement the building the pool is housed in.

The build ended up being a long drawn-out one due to the other works going on on site, including the construction of the building and the incorporation of the H&V plant; further exacerbated by the client calling a temporary halt to works due to a Covid outbreak. Fortunately, this did not faze our superb team and we were able to take this in our stride without unduly delaying the project further. The result is a beautiful looking completed project which the client says she loves, as it affords her a tranquil haven in which to relax.

Project Overview

Construction Method: One Piece
Finish: Silver Mist
Sanitization: Certikin in-line chlorine feeder
Lighting: LED White Lights
Cover: Slatted Automatic cover in white
Coping Stones: Granite

Originally the site here had an outdoor swimming pool installed in the 1960’s which had fallen into disrepair and either needed to be filled in or to be rebuilt. We decided to install another swimming pool and used XL Pools as they were a local firm who had maintained the outdoor pool when it had still been in use. After consultation a One-piece pool was chosen! Four underwater lights and a white slatted cover. To enable year round enjoyment a pool house was built to enclose it, with a Heatstar ventilation system. Covid lockdowns did not help progress but the swimming pool and pipework were all safely installed with minimum disturbance together with the building around it and it has proved to be immensely popular to use year round, and proved its worth during a summer party. It is easy to maintain, especially with a maintenance agreement with XL Pools, and the cover provides very good protection. It is safe for children to use with access steps on each side and an underwater ledge for safety, and is not too deep for anybody. It is a great bonus to have.
